Lawrence Lenke, ’86 MD, has devoted his career to fixing severe spinal deformities and setting new standards for how surgeons treat them.

Alumni Weekend brought together graduates across class years for a mix of continuing medical education sessions, campus tours, social gatherings, and reunion celebrations.

In addition to drawing over 450 alumni and their guests, Alumni Weekend provided an opportunity for many (including myself) to explore areas of the campus that were new to us.

In May, donors and medical students assembled at The Peninsula Chicago to honor the transformative power of scholarships and mark the launch of a new $200 million campaign at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.

Sandeep Dave, ’95 MS, ’99 MD, ’00 MBA, developed a test to speed cancer diagnosis and launched an international consortium working to accelerate blood cancer research.  

Ray Sato, 90 MD, creates scholarship to combat shortage of pediatric practitioners.

This year, Alumni Weekend will be held May 1-2, 2026, with events on and around Northwestern University’s Chicago campus. As always, this presents an opportune time for alumni to reconnect with former classmates, learn about the medical school’s latest developments and achievements, and reminisce about their medical school experiences. In addition to mingling with old classmates…
